In early 2003 Water Music, the long time music store of Stillwater, found itself in financial trouble. Everything from bad management to the constant bridge traffic on Chestnut Street were problematic. Most believed that these problems were unsustainable.Later that year, it was decided by all involved, that new ownership was necessary for the stores survival.It was at that time that three Water Music teachers decided to start a place of their own. In September of 2003, Valley Music Academy opened its doors for the first time.
Our goal then and now is simple: standards. We aim to provide teachers who create a thoughtful and engaging curriculum that produces results. we have a clean and professional environment, conveniently located with ample parking. We look forward to continuing to serve the St. Croix Valley now, and well into the future...
